“ What a great friendly pub. Staff are very friendly and attentive and the choice of beers is legendary. I made it my mission to try all the fruit beers .... I managed but my head hurts now haha. Great place with a great atmosphere, highly recommended. ”
“ Really liked this bar. Loved all the different stuff covering the walls and ceiling. The outdoor seating was great also with a nice view of life passing by. Pints were perfect which made it great. Lovely pint of Berliner, which I’ve never had anywhere other than Berlin so that was good to experience. I will be visiting again definitely. ”
“ I was very hungry and the Cajun chicken wrap was exceeding my expectations by far. Presented very beautifully with salad and some fries, the dish looked wonderful and tasted even better! Unfortunately I couldn't find the time to give it a second go. Staff was very helpful and kind. Please note you have to order at the bar and indicate your table number. What I liked a lot as well was the whole place, the atmosphere, the people in the bar. Very unique and cool! ”
“ 09/05/25: back again! Still quirky! Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - decided to get the train on our 3rd day to Windermere. Aborted a long walk in favour of the first quirky bar we found. Great choice of ales and ciders! Loved it! Dog friendly! ”
“ Probably the best selection of drinks not just in the Lake District but also all of the UK. Really quaint and interesting pub with amazing friendly staff, log fire and friendly locals and is also dog friendly. I had a selection of hard to find bottled Belgian beers. Thank you for an amazing evening. ”
“ Very unique, smallest pub in the Lakes, worth a visit. The dancing lights to the music and the decorations on the ceiling are well entertaining. Spot the stool and the sheep amongst other things in the picture of the ceiling. ”
“ Loved it here. I had a snails pale ale 6.2%. Was a little like neck oil but stronger. Plenty choice. Didn't eat here but menu looked tempting. ”
“ The first stop when we visited Windermere. Staff is friendly and the pub is must visit if you go in Windermere. The dishes in the menu have really authentic names ”
